Re: FIDIC Certified Consulting Practitioner certification programme

Dear colleagues,

I trust that this letter finds you well. I would like to take this opportunity to inform you about some of the new initiatives which are taking place in this quarter of the year and in 2022. Given our ongoing commitment to benchmarking and maintaining global industry standards, FIDIC established its subsidiary company, FIDIC Credentialing Limited (FCL) in 2019, to provide certification to persons. Since it became operational earlier this year, FCL Management board, as chaired by Sir Vivian Ramsey FREng, QC and the FCL Certification Board, as chaired by Professor John Uff, FREng, QC, as well as the committees and experienced global experts have been working diligently to develop and finetune the essential framework needed to implement the five certification programmes. Presently, we have opened applications for three of these certifications programmes this year, one of which is the FIDIC Certified Consulting Practitioner. I am especially pleased to inform you of this development given that we believe this unprecedented certification programme will provide a unique opportunity for aspiring professionals working in your member firms, both within the built and natural environment, as well as in related sectors, to obtain this international qualification. This certification is also suitable to professionals interested in the consultancy practice sector and who are at the beginning of their career, or further along, but who have at least three years of work experience. Further information on this Consulting Practitioner certification and the examination syllabus are provided in the flyer which is attached to this letter. This first session is currently open for applications until 19 November 2021, so any interested persons are encouraged to consult the programme page. I would kindly request your support in forwarding this information to your individual member firms, Chair of your Association’s Young Professional Group, and any interested partners within your networks to inform them of this certification programme. If you wish to further promote this information on your website, or via emails or newsletters, please do not hesitate to use the attached promotional materials provided accordingly (flyer and banner). For your reference on how to use this material, I am including the email banner attached with the hyperlink which directs you to the programme’s webpage. Kindly note that the applications for the November 2021 programme will remain open until 19 November 2021. The date for the exam is 30 November 2021. In addition, it should be noted that the FCCP examination programme is also scheduled to take place three to four times in 2022 and in subsequent years.
